Scholarships, scheduled games, and more!
We’re just about a month away from the start of Go Play NW 2024, and we have some updates! First, let’s talk about scholarships!
Go Play NW is committed to cultivating and supporting a spectacular and diverse gaming community, in part by our scholarship program. Thanks to some generous pledges during our crowdfunding campaign, we have a bunch of scholarships to distribute! Priority will be given to applicants from groups that have historically been underrepresented in TTRPG spaces, including women, people of color, members of the disabled community, LGBTQIA+ folks, and people from working class backgrounds. Anyone is welcome to apply.
If you need some help to attend, don’t be shy! Fill out a brief application on our Scholarship Program page and we’ll get you set up. Or if you know someone who’d benefit from a scholarship, please send them that way!
Next, you can now submit scheduled games for the event. We have several great games already on the Scheduled Games list, but we’d love to see more! While we do have the Donut happening in every game session to help organize pick-up games, putting a game on the schedule is a great way to let people know what you’re interested in playing and get players to commit ahead of time! Go to our Submit a Game page and tell us all about the game you want to run! We’ll be opening game sign-ups for players too, really soon!
Lastly, now is a great time to figure out where you saved your immunization card! Go Play NW 2024 will be asking for proof of recent COVID-19 vaccination OR proof of a negative test. We'll have a limited number of tests available at the convention, but the easiest way to get in is to show your vaccine card or online record. See our 2024 COVID-19 Policy page for more information.
